The Mortgage Loan Officer continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. A Mortgage Loan Officer’s network may consist of real estate professionals, builders, professional and personal contacts, as well as other valuable referral sources. **This position requires Federal Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), in accordance with the SAFE Act and remain in good standing. STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENT: A state license with the Hawaii Division of Financial Institutions (DFI) of your federally registered Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) identification number is required prior to performing any duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). Passing a federal and state exam is required in order to obtain registration/license. Loan Officers are responsible for responding to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their own contacts and from other company business channels. Interviewing prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advice customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information. Jr. Loan Processor (Hawaii Kai)
Mortgage Loan Processors assist in our customer’s relationship from commitment to funding, adhering to established turn time, productivity, and quality metrics; including the efficient use of company technology systems to assist with proper processing and underwriting for all loan types. Loan Processors assist in processing loan files from the application/commitment to funding, gathering and reviewing all pertinent loan information. Record and analyze borrower and vendor information to ensure investor guideline and regulatory compliance. Works with Sr. Processors to assist with vendors including but not limited to appraisal, title, and escrow to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements. Identify customer issues and offer solutions/options in order to exceed the customer’s expectations. Assist in tracking and updating loan origination system with pertinent dates borrower/vendor documentation. Input all current/updated data and monitor progress of all loan files on Calyx Point. Maintain dialogue with loan officers, underwriters, funders and customers throughout the loan process. Actively review and resolve underwriting conditions.
